Girls Lacrosse in final four

The New Trier girls lacrosse team has had an incredible year after beating Loyola for the first time since 2008 and for having the incredible record of 21-0-1 so far.

One of the most memorable events of the season for the Trevs was the incredible opportunity that they had to be able to play on historic Wrigley Field against Lyons Township earlier in the year. The Trevs also went on two out of state trips to Michigan and Wisconsin. This season, the Trevs had a challenging schedule from conference rivals GBS and Loyola to out of state teams from Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

Even with this tough schedule the team has managed to stay undefeated so far this season. This year is the first time ever that the Trevs have gone undefeated in school history.

The playoff season started on May 19, but New Trier had a first round by. The first playoff game for the Trevians was on Wednesday May 21st against Warren for the sectional semifinals. The final score of the game was 17-0 New Trier. The next game that the Trevs played was against Maine South in the sectional finals. After a hard fought game against the Hawks, the final score was 10-3 New Trier, advancing the Trevs to the elite 8.

The next game was on May 30 where the Trevs played GBN at the super sectional game. The final score was 17-8 New Trier and the Trevians will advance to the final four. The next game they will play will be the state semifinals against GBS on Wednesday June 4 at Evanston. If they beat GBS they will move on to play either Loyola or Hinsdale Central in the state game at Northwestern on June 6.
